  • MikeyJ is an environmental public policy and music sustainability specialist based out of Boulder, CO. His work lives at the intersection of culture and climate, helping artists and venues strengthen sustainable practices while using their creative influence to drive broader, systems-level change. With a belief that music can mobilize people and that momentum can shape policy, he empowers creators to turn their platforms into catalysts for meaningful environmental action.

In Fall 2024, MikeyJ took an unconventional path in his graduate program: rather than selecting a pre-arranged capstone placement, he designed his own. By networking across Colorado’s live-music ecosystem, he secured a partnership with Z2 Entertainment and built a custom sustainability consulting project from the ground up. This self-directed approach allowed him to align his academic work with his long-term vision of becoming a leading voice in music sustainability consulting.
